Silica Sand

When creating an asphalt paving mix, many prefer to use foundry sand in replacement of fine aggregate. It also forms a great alternative of aggregate in flowable fill applications. Before using this sand, it is essential to screen it to separate oversized particles. As the name suggests, this sand comes from foundries. The shape of the sand particles is rounded or subangular. Our company supplies this sand in sizes, like AFS 60-70, AFS 30-40, ASTM 50 Mesh and ASTM 30 Mesh. The absorption rate of this sand is low. Some organic impurities in the foundry sand can be kept as these can be important in some cement concrete formulations.
